this morning, i woke up and thought to myself, “i don’t think i want to blog anymore.” so, i’ve made the decision to stop blogging.
this is my last entry on this here blog. in a couple of months, i’ll probably take this site down or make it inactive, or whatever wordpress permits me to do.
i’d like to say that this was a hard choice to make, but it wasn’t. it really was an impulsive decision.
for a long time i enjoyed blogging. and i still do on occasion. but lately, it’s become more of a chore than anything else. and so i think it’s time to move on.
for loyal followers (all ten of you), i apologize for this abrupt turn of events. i met some interesting people through this space, and i hope to keep in touch with some of you in other ways.
this blog mainly came about as a method of relaying information to my friends back at home. gradually, it became a little bit more than that.
anyway, it was fun. goodbye, and have a good one!

You will be missed.
This is one of the few reasons that I’ve come to appreciate Facebook.

Now this makes me sad. I have been faithfully reading your blog since
(I think) May of 2008. You are such an honest and wonderful writer–I will miss you, but I do believe in change. Wishing you all the best the world has to offer. Please keep me updated whenever you decide to write again- you have a huge fan!!!
….do you want to be friends on FB?

I’ve been reading your blog since July and I have to say that I really enjoyed reading about your adventures in Korea.
I don’t know what caused me to become a faithful (silent) reader given the random circumstances when I stumbled upon your blog. I don’t know if it’s because we both share the commonality that we have relatives in Korea despite being Chinese or the random chance that we’re both from Houston. Maybe I read because I’m trying to live vicariously through you.
I’m going to miss your updates. What a surprise to me that you’ve decided to stop!
Well, I hope that you had a good birthday, that you will have a good winter, and that one day you will blog again. :}

Hi William, I’ve been silently reading your blog also for the last year or so, both while I lived in Daegu and since I left Korea this past summer. Have really enjoyed your blog, and while sorry to see you go, wish you the very best. Take care & cheers!

Bummed, but at least I can still stalk you and your precious pups on Facebook. I totally understand the blogging becoming a chore though. If you ever get a second wind an start a new one, count me in.

I really enjoyed your entry about learning Korean. I’ve been in Taiwan for three years, and identified with the problems you had with Korean
